This could be because the space they are playing in is too small or because they are very sick from moving around. Kayak VR: Mirage

Developer | Better Than Life |

Publisher | Better Than Life |
Release Date | February 22, 2023 |
Metacritic Rating | 74 |
Kayak VR: Mirage is more about taking in your surroundings than actually playing the game, but that doesn’t make the whole thing any less fun. From the comfort of their chairs, players can row their virtual boats through some really beautiful places, giving their arms a little workout while taking in the beautiful scenery.
Kayak VR: Mirage is the best PSVR 2 game to play while sitting down. Players will need to make sure they have some room on their sides and, if possible, a seat without armrests. Some of the races can be a little hard, but people who want a more relaxed video game experience can choose the free-roam or tour mode instead and just enjoy the scenery.
No Man’s Sky

Developer | Hello Games |

Publisher | Hello Games |
Release Date | November 12, 2020 |
Metacritic Rating | 83 |
No Man’s Sky has come a long way since its botched release in August 2016. The game has improved by leaps and bounds since then. It now has one of the best comeback stories in video games, and maker Hello Games keeps making it better with each patch and update. Early in 2023, update 4.1 fixed a few bugs and added a few new features, including support for PSVR 2.
Some people might be unhappy that the game doesn’t look much different from when they played it on the first PSVR, but that’s more a sign of how good the first version was than a flaw in the PSVR 2 version. Also, the big difference is not in how the game looks, but in how it is played. The PSVR 2’s Sense controllers make a huge difference in how things go.
Tetris Effect: Connected

Developer | Stage Games |
---|---|
Publisher | Enhance Games |
Release Date | February 22, 2023 |
Metacritic Rating | 93 |
Even though it’s been around for a long time and isn’t very complicated, Tetris is still as fun to play as it was in the 1980s. In fact, there’s a case to be made that the game is even better now, since Tetris Effect: Connected adds multiplayer and VR features that make Alexey Pajitnov’s blockbuster game feel fresh to a whole new generation of players.
Tetris Effect: Connected is one of those games that uses virtual reality more to impress people than to make the game better. That’s okay, though, because the beautiful backgrounds really do make the whole experience better, letting players get lost in the moment and give their full attention to the strangely relaxing job at hand.
Rez Infinite

Developer | United Game Artists |
---|---|
Publisher | Enhance Games |
Release Date | February 22, 2023 |
Metacritic Rating | 88 |
Rez Infinite is still a great game, even though it came out a long time ago. It is also one of the most beautiful games on the PSVR 2. Whether it’s better to play the classic Dreamcast game sitting down or standing up is up for question, but the updated version of the game that came out for the PS5 in early 2023 gives players everything they need to play it sitting down.
The most important of these is being able to target enemies with the PSVR 2’s state-of-the-art look tracking, so players don’t even have to move their hands if they don’t want to. With a swivel chair and good headphones, players can enjoy one of the most unique and intense virtual reality experiences without ever having to leave their seats.
Moss

Developer | Polyarc |
---|---|
Publisher | Polyarc |
Release Date | February 22, 2023 |
Metacritic Rating | 85 |
Moss can be played while standing up, but some people say it’s much better when you sit down. Even though players will have to turn their heads a lot to move Quill through some settings, a swiveling chair can help a lot if they are worried about getting neck pains.
Moss is one of the best puzzle games on the PSVR 2 and a great example of how VR technology can be used in puzzle games to make them more realistic. There is also a sequel, Moss: Book 2, so people who liked the first game can go right to the end of Quill’s epic journey as she tries to save the land of Moss.
Thumper

Developer | Drool |
---|---|
Publisher | Drool |
Release Date | February 22, 2023 |
Metacritic Rating | 86 |
Thumper is a rhythm game where players move a metal monster along an endless track that looks like a roller coaster. As they move through the game, they’ll be gradually presented to new mechanics and ideas that they’ll need to understand in order to finish each stage. It’s a pretty simple game in terms of how it works, but it’s by no means easy.
Thumper is one of the best PSVR 2 games to play while sitting down because you don’t have to do anything to move forward. Backrooms game also gets extra points for how well it introduces and explains each of its core features. This game is fun and hard, and fans of the genre shouldn’t pass it up.
Gran Turismo 7

Developer | Polyphony Digital |
---|---|
Publisher | Sony Interactive Entertainment |
Release Date | March 4, 2022 |
Metacritic Rating | 87 |
Gran Turismo 7 is probably the best game on the platform, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that it is also one of the best PSVR 2 games to play while sitting down. After all, most of the time spent playing the game is in the driver’s seat of one of the 300+ cars. Taking this into account, it would be pretty strange if they tried to play it while standing up.
Even though Gran Turismo 7 was first released as a normal PS5 exclusive game, it feels like it was made with virtual reality in mind. Even though the game doesn’t work with the Sense controllers, which is a bit of a bummer, it works almost perfectly with the headset, both when you’re racing around one of the many real-world tracks and when you’re looking at cars in the newly added VR store.
